Roof Repair Technician
Cherry Town Roofing, Siding & Gutters is growing, and we are looking for a hands-on repair technician to join our crew in Traverse City and across Northern Michigan.
Every week brings different work: a leaking roof after a storm, damaged siding on a lakefront home, a gutter run that never drained properly. If you like solving problems and finishing the day with something visibly fixed, this is the job.
Position Profile
The Roof Repair Technician handles home exterior repairs — roofing, siding, wood trim, metal flashing, soffit, fascia and seamless gutters — diagnosing the cause of a problem and making the repair hold up to Michigan weather.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential roofs, including flashing, decking and ventilation issues
- Repair and replace vinyl and composite siding, soffit, fascia and wood trim
- Repair and reset seamless gutter systems so water leaves the house properly
- Document each repair with photos and notes for the customer and the office
- Work safely on ladders and roofs, and follow safe-work practices every day
- Keep the job site clean and treat every home like your own
Experience and Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in roofing, siding or exterior remodeling
- Comfortable working at height and with the tools of the trade
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Able to lift and carry materials and work outdoors in Michigan weather
